Privacy Policy — Sendzees

Sendzees LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("we", "us", "our") operates sendzees.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our service — whether you're sending a gift, receiving one, or visiting our site.

The short version: We collect only what we need to deliver your gift. We don't sell your data. Recipients opt themselves in by clicking their gift link. You can request deletion of your data at any time.

1. Information We Collect

From senders:

First name and email address (provided during checkout)
Payment information (processed by Stripe — we never store card details)
Recipient's first name and phone number

From recipients:

Phone number (provided by the sender)
IP address and timestamp at the moment of gift link redemption (for consent records)

Automatically:

Basic usage data (pages visited, link opens) via server logs

2. How We Use Your Information

To deliver SMS messages to the recipient over the gift period
To send the sender purchase confirmation and gift status updates
To maintain records of consent for TCPA compliance
To improve our service through anonymised usage analysis

3. SMS Messaging and Consent

Sendzees delivers SMS messages as part of a gift experience. Recipients receive an initial SMS notifying them that someone has sent them a gift. Consent is obtained when the recipient clicks their unique gift link — this click constitutes their agreement to receive the 7-day message sequence.

Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. On receipt of STOP, all further messages are immediately cancelled. Recipients can resume by texting UNSTOP.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency is up to 1 message per day for the duration of the gift (maximum 7 days).

4. Sharing Your Information

We share personal data only with the services necessary to operate Sendzees:

Stripe — payment processing
Telnyx — SMS delivery
Resend — transactional email delivery
Supabase — secure database hosting
Vercel — website hosting
Upstash (QStash) — message scheduling

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain different data for different purposes. Personal details such as sender and recipient names and email addresses are deleted periodically following gift completion. Phone numbers, SMS consent records, and opt-out records are retained for compliance with TCPA and carrier regulations. Payment transactions are processed and retained by Stripe — Sendzees does not store payment card details or payment records.

6. Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. Basic session data may be stored temporarily to support the gift experience.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data (right to erasure)
Opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP

8. Data Security

Phone numbers and personal data are stored in encrypted databases. We do not log phone numbers in plain text. Tracking tokens and dashboard access links are cryptographically generated and treated as credentials.

9. Children's Privacy

Sendzees is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have done so inadvertently, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify senders of material changes via email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
